Everywhere Else / Lets Get Crazy! [Sonya x Scourge.]
« Last post by Sonya Heart on February 25, 2020, 08:17:15 pm »
Sonya considered herself a fairly grounded individual never one to disappoint her family members or friends as much as she were able she tried her best to a consistent source of dependability for anyone that needed her. And as ill-advised as it seemed Scourge fell into that category, it was insane because he’d already made it very clear what their relationship was and technically it wasn’t even that. Despite the small gestures, the cuddling, the kissing, the hours they spent talking about nothingness all that didn’t amount to a whole lot in his eyes. Well at least nothing concrete she knew that they’d been doomed from the beginning but the cruel reality that she wouldn’t be spending her future with the hedgehog she loved was still a bitter pill to swallow still when he called she didn’t question, and off she went just like always.

Which is how she found herself back inside his suspiciously immaculately kept warehouse after letting herself in courtesy of his only spare key, it was such a sharp contrast from how her best friend would keep his place a pig-sty. Although she suspected that Scourge kept his living courters squeaky clean for reasons much more sinister than simply wanting to be hygienic she didn’t allow herself to ponder what that reason might be. Heavy as she still felt with the recent events she mooched her way into his small but cosy kitchenette area knowing the sound of her footsteps alone would let him know she’d arrived. Ordinarily she would have bounded around until she found him and smothered him upon discovery but unsurprisingly she was in no such mood. Snagging a beer from the six-pack in his fridge the fennec proceeded to perch herself on the kitchen counter before opening the alcoholic beverage with slightly trembling hands. “Welp bottoms up.” She murmured to herself begrudgingly raising the can to her lips, her features wrinkled as the bitter flavour consumed her taste buds. 'How do people get any enjoyment out of drinking this?...'

Character Biographies / Warlord Yurius "Yuri" Robotnik
« Last post by Warlord Yurius Robotnik on February 25, 2020, 12:24:33 pm »
Description:
Yurius is, by all means just Doctor Robotnik from a different universe. He's a 200cm tall hunk of technologically advanced junk. Some parts of him still resemble something nature could have spat out, but beneath the skin and fat, he is more machine than man. The only remaining biological parts left of this unholy conjoining of flesh and metal are the brain and a handful of key organs he still requires for mortal pleasures like eating, drinking, smoking, and so on. He is an imposing, walking bulwark covered in thick external and internal plating, which comes complete with a retractable full-face helmet that connects to his re-breather, as well as a weaponized left arm. In addition to his suit and armor, he also wears a long, thick, heavy yellow cape and an equally comparable scarf which, in of itself, can be used as a sort of bizarre lasso or whip-like weapon.

Personality:
Yurius is by no means a tactical genius or a highly inspiring leader, but he is certainly rough, wroth, and intimidating. He is primarily a warrior, second-place an inventor, and although he admires all things on the techy or sciency side, he focuses on creating tools of war and machines. His reasons for escaping to this universe are rather bleak, as his own was left uninhabitable after an eternity of conflict and war and he is now on a mission to find a new home for himself and his remnants. He has not met any Mobians or similar races prior to coming here, due to them simply not existing in his home universe. Despite his demeanor and generally being a very scary man, he can be amicable under certain conditions. He can be commonly seen chomping down cigars and cigarettes of various origins, usually accompanied with alcohol.

Abilities and Powers:
While he has no powers in a traditional sense, Yurius is a tough nut to crack based on his physique alone. His armor AND body have been built to survive extreme temperatures both hot and cold, as well as other kinds of physical damage or hazards. His left arm is loaded with a rocket launcher, a flak cannon (which can fire both actual shells or just shrapnel in a manner similar to pellets) and a laser cannon. All of these have a low ammunition count save for the laser cannon, and as such, they are usually secondary or emergency weapons. To top it all off, he can also just straight up punch with the force of a hydraulic press.

Arsenal [WIP]:

Red Guards: Red-colored SWATbot-like troops who are entirely robotic. Generally used as, well, guards or patrols, they are equipped with wrist-mounted light lasers and stun rays and are rather lightly armored compared to the rest of the army.

Scanner Bots: Gray-colored, flying scanners roughly the size of a fist, shaped like a ball with minor plating and a tiny red eye-like camera. Their main purpose is scouting, but they come armed with stun rays and an internal explosive with roughly the force of a grenade in case a unit requires to be self-destructed. They are the lightest of Robotnik's troops.

Main Battle Droids: The backbone of Robotnik's forces. They very closely resemble Red Guards, with the obvious differences of being black and chromatic in their plating with a red non-chromatic patch on the center of their chest depicting a mockup of the Warlord's face. They appear burlier and taller than their Guard counterparts and are generally better protected at the cost of being heavier and slower. They have the same wrist-mounted weapons as the Guards, with the laser being swapped out for a rocket launcher. However, with the addition of being armed with repeating laser rifles, their wrist-mounted weapons are deemed secondary.

Cybernites: Clad in red armor similar to Yurius' own, these are former humans from his universe, likely death-row prisoners or other unwanted individuals that were demoted to this existence as a punishment. They resemble Robotnik himself in every way but face, shape, and size. They are naturally issued lower-quality equipment and serve as one of his special forces. There is little sign of cognitive existence to them, and, as such, they behave almost like robotic troops with no soul. They apply squad-based tactics in a very programmed way and generally use repeating laser rifles as their primary weapons, with laser pistols as their secondary, and are equipped with thermal and cryo grenades as well as retractable single wrist blades on their respective dominant arms for close combat.

Yuri's Hope: A massive red and yellow colored flagship of triangular shape, likely hurriedly repurposed judging by its poor state. There are several laser-based turrets on it, and a single ion cannon that could be used for long-range attacks. It is also the only space-faring vehicle that Robotnik currently possesses, minus minor transport that are already part of the thing. It is what has brought him here through the inter-universal rift, and that was a one-way trip. It contains a considerable population of cryogenically frozen people and Robotnik is the only free-thinking life on deck most of the time. The interior can be compared to a few cities in terms of size if cities were made up of levels upon levels of hallways and rooms.

Inventions [WIP]:

Cyberizer: Often called "The Meatgrinder" back home, this is a device that extracts the bare necessities in terms of organs from living beings and encases them within mechanical bodies in order to improve them in a fashion much like Yurius himself. It can optionally install chips inside of the extracted brains that ensures obedience and submission. Individuals who receive this treatment are generally unwilling.

Weaknesses:
Yurius is physically slow and lacks finesse, he can be also easily blinded by (usually negative) emotions too much to see the whole picture. Additionally, he quite literally cannot swim completely due to his weight and will always sink. All of his physical weaknesses are only marginally improved when he is out of his armor.

WHAT IF!? / Re: When a Shimmer Meets a Hurricane. [Sonya Heart and Twinkle.]
« Last post by Twinkle on February 23, 2020, 02:48:03 am »
Her ears sunk upon hearing today was but a sample of the torture her new teacher was planning, but they immediately shot back up accompanied by sparkling eyes. "Really!? All in order, new tomes filled with knowledge, boundless books all kept pretty and pristine." Her orbs shimmered behind her elegant frames, folding her hands neatly together. She jumped up excited and almost bounced off the wall. "Museums, marine life center. Miss Heart where have you been all my life? I've never met a teacher so passionate about learning." Before getting too carried away Twinkle looked down to her clothing; It was beyond disgusting. Closing her eyes and stopping to sniff caused her to flinch at the repulsive smell.

"You'll have to excuse me, Miss Heart. Here I am so excited about the new curriculum I've neglected my hygiene. I need to go to the little kittens room and freshen up, change into something not dripping with sweat. It's been a pleasure meeting you, Miss Heart. I look forward to learning all I can from you." With that she lowered her head respectfully once again and in a purple flash she was gone; little pink sparkles and stars dancing on the air where she once was.

WHAT IF!? / Re: When a Shimmer Meets a Hurricane. [Sonya Heart and Twinkle.]

The frail feline huffed and puffed for so long after sitting that Sonya had quietly begun to wonder if she should have been readying some form of first aid. But the sound of her managing chuckling in between her huffs and puffs quelled her concerns for most part but still intended to keep a watchful eye on her this girl screamed inhaler dependency. “Unfortunately for you Twinkle today was only the tip of the ice berg. Physical Education is of the utmost importance for not only physical but psychological health not that I need to be telling you that.” Returning her smile in kind she kicked out the only chair in the room before confidently straddling it in the opposite direction to face her.

Upon hearing that there were staff members that were clearly shirking their educator duties purely because of the influence of something as prejudice as wealth status that caused her lip to curl downward considerably. What was the system coming to if bullying and harassment couldn’t be contained or controlled a place that claimed to have zero tolerance for anything of the sort. It took the majority of Sonyas self-control not to come out with a response that would have probably sounded very un-becoming of a employee so she settled for. “Well one day I can promise you while you thrive reality will chew her up and spit her out and no amount of money will be able to impede that. Oh please you don’t need t-“  And she was bowing her head, unsure of how to take the lavender cats sudden formality she waited it out feeling herself relax a lot more at the tell tale signs of her tail wagging, smile, and purring.

“The city..  it’s amazing. Everything is comfortably fast paced and there’s rarely ever a dull moment. And I can guarantee you that what you’ve read online about the libraries is nothing compared to the real deal. Every book shelf to corner is immaculately precise and of course alphabetically organised. From the second you step into a library in the city that’s it it’s like the rest of the world outside doesn’t exist and it’s just you and the books… o-or so I’ve heard.” Glancing off sideways momentarily in an attempt to try and save face. Sonya knew that her usually white muzzle was probably peppered crimson. It wasn’t that she dumbed herself down far from it but given her reputation was more athletically based despite her also being a doctor. This was a side of her personality that didn’t get a chance to take centre stage much.

Greatful for the diversion with the subject change she chuckled warmly. “I’m really not supposed to tell ahead of time but I reckon you can keep a secret. I’ve got field trips planned to science history museums and aquariums aplenty. Though somehow  i doubt the rest of your class will share your enthusiasm for cerebrum expansion. ”

Twinkle still huffing and puffing held out a finger. "You don't plan on making every class a death march, do you Miss Heart? While I appreciate the importance physical education, I still can't feel my legs." She chuckled between huffs and puffs. Taking a moment to compose herself she took a deep breath, while cleaning her lenses. After pushing her glasses back up her nose she offered a sweet smile. "Thank you for your help back there. Getting degraded in front of my classmates isn't something I enjoy. Other staff overlook her inappropriate comments because her family comes from money." Twinkle lowered her head giving a respectful bow like they did in foreign countries. Twinkle finally feeling at peace held a happy smile, her tail wagging with the occasional joyful purr escaping her lips.

"What's the big city like, Miss Heart? Truth be told, I've always wanted to study there. I've read online their libraries are top notch, I've always wanted to see them for myself." Her ears perked up and she bounced excitedly while holding her regal stature. "Have you planned and trips for the class this year?" Probing the new member of staff with her curious questions.

Having idly busied herself with tidying away the gymnasium equipment they’d used for the lesson Sonya appeared to be well and truly engrossed in her mundane task, but in actuality she was anything but. Call it instinct but she just knew that the class prefect wouldn’t be satisfied until she felt like she finished what she started. And that came in the unoriginal form of Twinkles abandoned water bottle skidding across the room. Which would have been prompt enough alone for her to be over there in a Sonya second to intervene. After all as nerdy as she was Twinkle was sweet harmless girl, or so she thought. Before she knew what was happening next Amellias head was hitting the wooden flooring with an alarming THWACK and she had to stifle a snigger at the sight of Twinkle not only throwing open distain for her peer but literally stepping on the other girl while doing so. And given her abnormally large ears had allowed her to pick up their conversation regardless of her being across the hall she knew that when Twinkle called her name a second time that was her cue.

Barely looking as if she’d made any effort to move at all in the time that it next took the lavender feline to blink she would find herself scooped up by surprisingly strong slender arms. “Don’t fret I gotcha.” Lowering her voice to much softer tones she added. “Nicely done handling your own by the way. Ha to think the kitten has claws after all!”
___

With an extremely short amount of time passing between their past and present destination, thanks to Sonya Twinkle soon enough would find herself sitting in the schools infirmary with her reclaimed water bottle back in hand and her P.E kit close by. Loosening her blonde curls from the confines of her neat stylish high pony tail, the fennec leaned herself casually against the doorframe curious to see how different this felines behaviour could or would be now that she was temporarily away from prying eyes. “You better drink up, dehydration is no joke. I gotta tell you kid you really are full of surprises.”

Twinkle has huffing, dragging herself into the gymnasium after that death march of a run. She scrapped along the floor her claws dragging her forward, the neat kitten was even more of a mess having sweated completely through her shirt. Huffing she tried to speak but no words came out, this woman wasn't a teacher she was a army drill instructor! The lavender cat flopped down onto the floor and spoke, her words muffled by the ground. "A little help please Miss Heart. I can't feel my legs."

Twinkle tried to reach for her water bottle only for the girl from earlier to kick it away. Tried of this girl's insubordinate behavior Twinkle did something she should have done a long time ago. She grabbed onto her ankles and dragged her down to the floor, her rival fell to the ground with a thud. Still in shock the bully had no time to react when Twinkle stepped on her to get up. She looked down with a haughty expression before speaking. "Stay down there where you belong. Headmistress will hear about this." Twinkle's legs wobbled like she was about to loose her balance. "Miss!"

Supressing a smile at the felines evident delight that she’d spoken up in her favour, while Twinkle made herself aquatinted she casually kept up her own warm up stretches wanting to set a good example on the rest of the class. Especially the prefect girl that was fixing her with a stare so intense that it bordered piercing. Sonya knew that was a situation she’d have to defuse later tedious as it seemed the last thing she needed was complaints on her first day. Tuning in fully back into what Twinkle was saying, she gave the occasional encouraging nod to show that she was listening and she was, but the more the girl spoke her urge to cringe increased. There was no doubt that Twinkle was one of those exceptionally gifted individuals she knew the type hell she’d been one. But unlike the purple cat she’d be outrageously social, effortlessly confident borderline arrogant in everything she did academically and particularly physically which automatically cancelled out any bullying attempts in her case. But Twinkle? She was so snooty it may as well have been stamped on her forehead. She didn’t approve of bullying in any form but could she see why this girl was a prime target, absolutely.

Hand placed artfully on her hip while she listened to the rest of the kittens speech when the part about Amelia having gotten away with disrespecting her peers and facility members came along Sonya distinctively heard not so subtle sarcastically hissed. “Teachers swot!” which she pretended not to hear in favour of beaming Twinkle a radiant smile. “My pleasure Twinkle. Alright I think we’re all warmed up good and proper, now lets see some hustle! nothing like fifty measly laps to get the adrenaline pumping!” Taking off into a brisk but moderate jog so that the rest of her class could follow suit she impatiently blew on her whistle.

Having thoroughly put her P.E class through their paces within the scheduled hour and a half that followed with not only multiple sprinting laps around the field but various team building games that Twinkle expectedly got picked last for all of where teams were concerned. When the glow of a dazzling sun set finally began to fade into black Sonya decided to put the class out of their misery. While she had barely broken a sweat throughout the duration of todays class some of these girls looked like if they didn’t hydrate soon then they’d be down A&E because dehydration was the cause. Blowing hard into her mouth piece to command the groups attention she spoke voice booming. “Alright ladies that’s a wrap for today.”
