Everywhere Else / Re: The Hammer Strikes ('Resurgence' of Robotnik)

' I can't let leave you alone for a few months now can't it?'The white bat thought as she came back in friendly territory. The agent had been gone for months now. Missing in action as most would say. The details of her disappearance had been kept a secret from everyone, even from her most intimate friends. She came back changed, a little more mature and with minor physical changes also. The agent who left as the friendly neighbourhood was more akin to a spy movie Femme Fatale.

She flew over the forest in the direction the signal came from. Most of her gears had been updated since then and for some parts upgraded. On her way home she picked up an S.O.S., it couldn't be good. -Static electricity field detected. Fast Moving object detected.-
Her scanner had picked up more than just an S.O.S., the hero too was in town. ''Agent Rouge the bat responding to SOS call. I'm coming baby girl, seems like I am right back in time for some action!''She said trough her communication device in the hope that Sonya would get her message. The bat who landed in the forest rocked a different look. Longer wavy hair, a black heart-shaped nose stud as well as her navel being pierced and adorned with jewellery.  She had a utility belt, a communication device and earpiece with a black heart-shaped chest plate. Long black gloves with retractable punching daggers and black combat boots.

The disturbance certainly left the temporary station of the Overlander's forces in a state of emergency. Alarms started blaring from the remaining stationed ships. The robots nearest to the impact had been sent into temporary shutdown as other troops began rushing to the position in an orderly fashion, clearing out the rubble from the former third ship that was stationed at the spot before surrounding the crater. Not too long after, a swarm of Scanner Bots poured out from the dark interior of the main landed ship through the now-opened entrance, followed suit by the man himself. The massive Overlander stepped out of the shadows, clad in full armor, presumably out of concern from the sudden 'assault' on his property, and immediately began heading towards the site of the impact with thunderous, long steps, the horde of flying machines following behind like some sort of pets.

"What. Happened?" the hulking man demanded with a quickly raising, aggrevated tone from the robots around the hole, not even looking into it yet.

"Unknown lifeform, Lord Robotnik. Approximately 150cm in height, covered in spines or fur, unable to determine much else from current position." the robot closest to Robotnik's left responded.

Finally, the Overlander peered into the crater with his glowing, visor-like eyes. An uncertain, unstable frown sat on his face, mildly switching into a full-on grimace every so often. "...That..." he pointed at this... Creature. "...Is the... Prrrrojectile?" he asked, wheezing a bit at the absurdity of the suggestion. "Scanner units... Sweep-scan surrounding area outside fooo-rrrest!" he took an interrupting gasp as his voice began getting rather shaky near the end. "Foooooorrrrrwaaa-a-a-rrrd." he finished with the, ironically, even shakier whisper of an order as he pointed generally away from the impact, the scanners following him quickly spreading out across the forest, flying beyond.

"As for... That. An... Hmmmnnn, interesting specimen. I want it in my perrrsonal laboratory. Bring a body bag, and... Sssstrrrap it down just in case." he ordered, taking a deep breath through his mouth. "I want detailed readings, hook it up to my rrresearch desk, I will be over shortly..." he finished talking, turning around 180, and marched off back to his command ship.

Luckily for... Certain individuals, there had yet to be any suspicion towards their presence or incoming arrivals, although the robots did not cease their searching patrols throughout the area, now aided by far more limber scanners. The guards at the scene, as instructed, carried the presumed dead blue creature off in a half-closed body bag to the Overlander's ship, while others began clearing out the area of the impact from debris and disabled bots. Soon enough, their unknowing captive was strapped to a table in a surprisingly well-lit, white-plated room with machinery and items that would appear honestly alien to just about anyone unfamiliar with them. Robotnik, as well as two assisting guards eventually entered the room, with the Overlander, of course, outside of his armor.

"You, check for Lifesigns, keep it unconscious if it's alive. You, connect the main spine to its body." Robotnik ordered, then went to sit himself down on the chair in front of the computer which currently said "NO CONNECTION" on the monitor with a green wireframe of a mechanical spine and ribs spinning horizontally. As the robots went to work, confirming Lifesigns and then injecting this creature with an unknown liquid, and finally connecting the metallic, skeletal apparatus to its body, it was strangely apparent that the wrist-mounted device this unknown entity had was removed, likely before it was brought in here...

James jerked awake as he heard his comm-link go off. He let out a low annoyed groan as he looked at his alarm clock, it wasn't even 5AM.
"Figures," he mumbled and picked up the comm-link and turned it on, "this better be good."
The message meanwhile made him snap to attention and all ideas of going back to sleep was knocked out of his mind as he got up and dressed himself to get go into the field.

Once he was dressed in his field uniform, complete with his underlying suit, armour, extendable ballistic shield, and pistol he headed out towards where the SOS was coming from. He tried to be quiet, but he was wearing heavier armour and he wasn't exactly stealthy given his size. So he was rather easy to spot. However, duty called, and he'd answer it as he always did.
"This is police officer James Mitchell, responding to SOS," he said into his earpiece, using the same frequency to try and reach Sonya, "i am on my way to your position, remain calm and stay put."

The day had started out like any other for Sonya albeit a whole lot earlier, it was her day off and eager to be far from the comforts of home, she idly wandered through the forest on her way to sit and spend hours fishing of all things. The irony in her distaste for the idyllic hobby wasn’t lost on her but it was a decent distraction, and helped her feel closer to him on her worst days.

While on her travels she paused to lean down and inhale the familiar sweet scent of the woodlands wildflowers only to stop short when she felt the hairs rise on the back of her neck. Perhaps it was instinct but somehow the fennec doctor knew that something bad was about to happen. She barely had time to process what happened next as multiple trees came crashing down around her much to her alarm and had it not been for her gut feeling guiding her she would have remained completely exposed after darting out of the way of the timbre pines. Flattening herself against a tree that had just about managed to miss out on a slashing, when she dared risk a peak she felt her stomach churn. She was looking at some sort of base camp and not only that but there were dozens of humanoid looking robots sweeping the area. And there was only one person she knew that was capable of creating mechanical monstrosities like this, but that couldn’t be the case Amy made sure of it didn’t she? none of this was making any sense!

Knowing that she couldn’t afford to stay in one place for two long without her position being outright compromised Sonya skilfully and soundlessly hoisted herself up into the confined branches of the tree she’d been pressed against straining her neck to get a better view at what had to be dealt with. This was bad really bad, and then just when she thought things couldn’t get crazier they did. Out of nowhere a storm suddenly began brewing but for Sonya there was an almost odd sense of familiarity about the way it occurred. As thunder boomed her large fluffy ears half flattened against her head, but still she sat ridged waiting. From the distance she was at she couldn’t make out nearly as much as she wanted to but a glimpse of an electrically charged portal opening up was more than enough to spur her curiosity. However she knew that she couldn’t just go rushing into this she needed a plan she needed back up.

Tapping at her communicator she rattled off an emergency SOS message on a wide range frequency. “If anyone is reading this, this is Sonya Heart, I’m messaging for immediate back up! this is an emergency if anyone is reading this please hurry and please be careful the forest is being patrolled by unusual looking robots and I don’t want to think about what will happen if any of us are caught by one of those.”

The air distorted and electrical disturbances would register on the Overlander's equipment; these fluctuations would only continue to rise as a wild electrical storm was brewing overhead. Thunder crashed and roared, but not from the clouds above, it was all gathered just above Robotnik's camp. The gathering lightning built up in voltage until it discharged a massive electromagnetic pulse; whilst tearing open a hole in reality. The electrical wave would knock out any non EMP hardened devices; while the portal of swirling lightning grew ever more wild. The raging power portal ejected something out at speeds so insane surpassed all logic; It shot towards the earth looking like an aggressive blue cannonball. The object smashed down crashing through one of the tents making a crater where it once stood. The earth shook when the object made contact and the portal quickly closed, causing the electrical energy to dissipate. The blue sphere unfurled itself to reveal a weary Mobian hedgehog; he tried pushing himself to his feet but alas his efforts were in vein. Unable to crawl out of the hole he had created, he creature looked up at the morning sun and belted out in a raspy voice.

"Did I make it back? Gotta...." Before he could get out another word be passed out from exhaustion. It appears two things had crashed on Mobius today, and one of them was at the other's mercy. Should the invader look over his belongings he would find a wrist mounted CPU that doubled as a communicator. This watch held the creature's contacts, pictures and even detailed information on the planet like places of interest and even a few inventions from somebody called Tails.

Everywhere Else / The Hammer Strikes ('Resurgence' of Robotnik)
« Last post by Warlord Yurius Robotnik on February 26, 2020, 11:53:47 am »
At roughly 3AM a foreign object of vague triangular shape appeared in the sky, barely spottable, but it was there... Unmoving. At 4AM, three red rectangular ships with yellow highlights descended from it, resembling containers more than any military-tier dropship. They all landed in a rather large clearing of an already sprawling forest. By the time the clock hit 6AM, the forest's denizens had either fled the scene or gone into hiding as squads of red and yellow plated humanoid robots began wide-spread patrols of the entire forest perimeter. Some trees had been completely taken down at the landing site and the ships were repurposed as makeshift "tents" for the "base camp", complete with plain red flags mounted upon their roofs. Inside the center-most ship, at the cockpit, sat the leader of this... Expedition, going over the collected data of the surrounding areas so far.

He had not managed to determine any specific life on this planet. He knew for a fact that it existed, but, everything alive avoided his reach like the plague ever since his arrival, far too quick for any of his scouts to even have a clear image on whatever it is that lived here.

"No matterrr..." came the calm, chilling, half-artificial half-human voice from the individual in the shadows of the dim interior as he "flipped" the "page" of the red, holographic report, going through the facts. "This place is..." he took a pause to let out a shaky, unstable sigh. "...suitable" he finished with a smirk rising to his lips.

There was no way that the unaccounted, unexplained arrival would go unnoticed for long, but, there appeared to be no plan set in place in the off chance that these... Visitors were to be confronted by sentient life...
