Rosie giggles upon hearing the loud grumble from Veira's tummy and heads back over to the cabinets to grab some bowls and plates.  "Alright.  Just give me a moment to set everything.  I'll meet you in the living room."

The echidna grabs a pair of matching red bowls with black insides and one more rectangular plate, of the same color scheme, for herself, and prepares her meal for serving.  They would have to eat in the living room since there wasn't a dining room table, nor chairs, in the kitchen.  Hence, after ladling her miso soup into the bowls and grabbing a pair of red and black spoons, Rosie carefully carries her after-battle meal out of the kitchen and into the living room.  She'd walk over to the table, in front of the couch, and carefully set the bowl of soup down in front of Veira, along with the plate of Arubakoa Akuamītobusshu Nigiri she had prepared earlier.   As per typical nigiri, the slab of tender meat bush was carefully sliced into somewhat thick pieces to match up with the individual beds of rice, underneath.  It was served with two small cups of soy sauce and spicy mayonnaise, as well as a pair of black chopsticks.

"Here you go!" Rosie offers with a pleasant attitude.

"Thanks.  It's, more-or-less, my dugout.  I dug out the whole underground section, myself, and a few friends help me furnish the place.  It's not the fanciest house out there but it's been a real home for me, lately," Rosie explains as she walks over to the stove and turns a dial on the far right, shutting off the blue flame to the small pot on the front right corner.

The soup inside slowly shifts from a gentle boil to a hot, undisturbed state.  It was a hearty Miso Soup, packed with seaweed, fresh scallions, and tofu.  The broth, made from leftover vegetable scraps, was mixed with a fermented paste from Wakagaeri Beans, native to Rosie's homeland, that are packed with enough of a high nutrient content that it can rejuvenate the body and mind with plenty of energy.  The nutrients are much easily extracted once the beans are soaked, which Rosie did in order to make the paste.  With the main ingredient added to the miso soup, it was the perfect thing to slurp down to recover after an intense battle.  Plus, it pairs nicely with a nice plate of sushi, that was actually made from a special underwater plant called Arubakoa Akuamītobusshu (アルバーコアアクアミートブッシュ), or Albacore Aqua-Meat Bush, another native specialty of Rosie's homeland.  It was thick form of vegetation that had the same taste and texture as a piece of raw Albacore Tuna and it was safe to consume raw, so it was perfect for nigiri sushi.  Luckily, Rosie had some Aqua-Meat Bush plants growing in the lake in the clearing so today wasn't the only time she had to go for a swim!

Once the burner was turned off, Rosie turns to the wolf once more.  She had originally made this soup for her sake, to help Veira better recover after being defeated in battle, only she woke up sooner than expected before she could bring it over to the couch.  "Are you hungry?  I made some soup to help you recover your strength a lot faster."

Within the northeast pathway, the kitchen wasn't all that small as it opened up a bit to the west.  It also seemed well equipped with a gas stove and oven against its southwest wall, directly across from a wide counter-top that connected with a twin-compartment sink which rested below a line of cabinets.  To the east of the room was a closet on the north wall and a classic, white refrigerator to the south of it.  The smell of food would prompt fill the atmosphere as there was currently a small, silver pot of peach-colored soup on the stove and a beige container of rice on the counter, sitting next a Tupperware container holding a chunk of smooth, pink meat and black and red rectangular plate of what appeared to be sushi.

As soon as Veira would enter the kitchen, Rosie would immediately be within her sights, with water running in the sink to wash a few dishes.  It looked as if she just finished preparing dinner for the upcoming night.  The echidna was currently dressed out of her dougi and was wearing what seemed to be bright, yellow pajamas with black stripes alongside the sleeves and pant legs, making it look like a tracksuit.  Even with the more comfortable house attire, the white headband she had on earlier was still snug around her forehead.  Immediately after placing the last plate in a red dish rack, resting on the right side of the sink and away from the food on the counter, the echidna picked up on her friend's aura and turns around to see Veira, wide awake and moving.

"Oh, hey sleepyhead!" Rosie teases, her cheerful demeanor back where it belonged.  "I'm glad to see you're okay.  You gave me quite a scare, earlier."

The sudden sparks caused Rosie to quickly back off, her eyes met with the relief of Veira erupting into a storm of coughs for air.  The warrior stands by as her friend struggles for breath, already feeling the faint aura signature within her slowly starting to rise.  That was too close!  Veira may have been in bad shape at the moment but at least she was still alive, thanks to the echidna's quick thinking in the face of crisis.  Carefully crawling over to Veira's side, Rosie was able to see the downed fighter open her eyes...only to collapse back down in sheer fatigue.  Rosie would've panicked, if she didn't still feel her aura still radiating within her.

"Phew...  Thank goodness," Rosie sighs in relief upon confirming the huntress was merely exhausted.  However, she knew that it probably wasn't wise to keep the wolf out here, with her condition the way it was.  Thankfully enough, the echidna had a plan.  She scoots a bit closer to her body and places her right hand on her abdomen.  "Hold on just a bit longer.  I'm going to get you somewhere you can rest."

Closing her eyes, Rosie would draw on a technique she had not used during the fight: a Ninjustu Warping technique.  A thick cloud of smoke would soon swamp over the two warriors, cloaking them from view for a few seconds before eventually clearing out.  Once the smoke clears, both females would be gone, out of sight...

A few hours would pass since the battle had unfolded in the jungle and the sun was just barely set beyond the west horizon, leaving the mere radiance of an orange, evening sky.  However, if Veira had chosen this precise moment to rise out of her fatigued state, she would soon find that she was no longer outside.  The wolf would be laid out on a soft, blue couch with a wet, green fabric on her forehead, surrounded by an enclosed room with paved, adobe walls and a brown stone floor, smooth in texture.  While she was asleep, Rosie had taken her former opponent into an underground dwelling called a dugout, which stood several feet below the surface of the jungle.  Though there was no sign of sunlight anywhere, the place was actually well ventilated and lit by warm, yellow ceiling lights.  The very atmosphere of the room would feel soothing, in fact it was oddly like a modern home.  Just not with very much in terms of decor.

To the far east side of the rectangular space were two separate hallways that were set on opposite walls from each other.  On the south wall was an opening to a stairwall that led back to the surface and a pair of light switches next to it.  One controlled the lights in the room and one activated the hallway lights for the stairwell so people can safely traverse through it without tripping on an invisible step.  To the north was the entryway into a kitchen, where the sounds of water running and plates moving around could currently be heard.  On the west section of the room was a pair of sliding doors that led to a room that was currently closed off and to the north of that was a separate hallway that led to two separate bedrooms and a bathroom.  On to decor and furniture, a small, wooden table was laid out in front of the couch and black 'A' frame television stand against the south wall, the appliances on it sharing the same shade of black.  For an underground shelter, it seemed well souped-up with a black flat-screen television and a DVR console, on the lower shelf, that connected the screen to cable access.  On the east wall was a wooden bookshelf equipped with a few different kinds of books of various sizes and colors, with a blue duffel bag with white stripes resting right next to it..  Finally, on the north wall behind the couch were three picture frames, holding their own different photos.  Closer inspection would reveal that Rosie was in each one as they were different events that happened in her past, shared with two other Mobians.  The one on the left had the echidna pinning down a purple dragon with big, bat-like ears and green eyes, both sharing a cheerful glance as they seemed to wrestling.  To the right was Rosie, in a blue dougi in contrast to the dobok she wore earlier, raising an upper arm block against a side kick from a younger squirrel girl with magenta eyes and her hair in pigtails.  In between them was a photo that featured all three Mobians together in a group photo with Rosie happily wrapping her arms around the shoulders of her two friends on either side of her.  Every element of the room made the whole dugout look more and more like someone's home.

Veira would be the only one present in the room for now, yet there were still occasional noises coming from the kitchen, as well as a separate white light that shined from the inside.

While in mid twirl from her ferocious uppercut, Rosie notices the trajectory  of her opponent's fall was heading straight for the lake!  This erupted a shocked gasp from her as she didn't even realize how close the fight brought them to the open water. "Uh oh!!"

This was a big problem if the wolf didn't know how to swim!  The warrior knew she had to do something fast or else what was supposed to be a rather intense spar would end in an accidental fatality!  She makes a swift landing soon enough but then drops slightly and falls her hands on her knees, panting heavily.  The damage she endured from the powerful discharge worn her out quite a bit to the point that the echidna absolutely had to catch her breath and recover.  Her whole body was burning from the electricity...but Rosie forced herself back upright with that though of Veira in danger of drowning.  She couldn't even see any signs of struggle in the water, leading her to believe that the wolf might've lost consciousness in the lake.  Now she was extremely worried!

Without as much as a second taught, Rosie runs straight for the lake, takes a deep breath and dives straight into the lake.  Her body pierces through it like an arrow before shifts into a breaststroke, rapidly trying to push herself towards the bottom of the water to find her downed opponent.  It was a race against the clock in her mind, one she dared not to lose!  Once she finally came across a glimpse of a body in the water, Rosie's eyes widened to see that Viera wasn't moving.  Barely a trace of her aura could be felt upon getting closer.  The adrenaline really started to kick in at that point and Rosie uses every ounce of strength she could muster to swim over to Veira's location and hoist her body up in her arms.  The warrior directs her aim back towards the surface and forcefully kicks her legs to propel herself upwards, clinging onto the little oxygen she had left.  The sheer frantic urgency of the situation causes the girl's aura to radiate around her for an extra dose of energy and allow her to push against the gravity of the lake with even greater force.  The only thought in her mind was saving the wolf before she completed drowned.  She didn't want such a fun battle to end on a super sour note.  She refused to believe that Veira deserved this!

In a flight of persistent, Rosie would eventually burst her upper body out of the water with a loud splash, managing to emerge just alongside the shore with her precious cargo in two.  After a big gasp for air, the echidna would set Veira onto dry land then push herself out along with her.  She wouldn't let herself rest for long, however, as there was very little time left to act.  Water drips from her fur and uniform as she'd rush over to the wolf's side and immediately attempt CPR with chest compressions, trying push the water out of her system before moving over to forceful blow air back into her body from the mouth.  As she'd repeat the process, Rosie's would concentrate aura energy around her hands to form a sparkling glow around them.  The warrior directly expose Veira to the aura to help jumpstart her own energy glow and bring the wolf's aura back to a consciousness state.  Rosie was trying everything she could to wake Veira back up.  She knew one of them were bound to get hurt from how intense the fight was but she didn't want it to end like this.

"Come on...  Breathe!"

"AHH!!" Not being able to get away in time, Rosie cries out in agony as the discharge swallows her whole.  It was a direct hit this time!  The electricity's painful embraced burned throughout the echidna's whole body to continuously rack up the damage caused to her.  Despite being trapped in her opponent's attack, the warrior eyes settle in a fierce glare while she grits her teeth as if she was trying to resist.  Veira would soon found out that Rosie was every bit as tenacious as she was.

Picking up on a technique she used earlier, the warrior hangs tough against the electricity as her aura radiates with a bright, blue glow.  It was reacting to the persistence in her spirit, not backing down even with the attributal exploit, and was converting the damage she was taking into stored energy once again.  However, she wasn't planning on blasting the energy back at her opponent like before, especially since she wasn't curled up in a spin.  Instead, Rosie channels the energy to all parts of her body, giving her an extra boost in physical power.  This was yet another counter tactic she kept on board when she really needed to bide out her time and/or gather up some extra strength to break away from force of an opponent's attack.  She was set to go for the later as a brave smirk soon settled on Rosie's face, despite the stress her body was going through.

"Don't...  Mind if I...  DO!!" Rosie boldly responds with conviction, shouting right as she draws forth her left hand for an abrupt sucker punch into the wolf's belly, the stored energy and her tremendous willpower fueling her actions through her attempt to blindside her opponent and interrupt her attack.  Holding onto the energy for a bit longer, the echidna would then pull her other hand free to add on a fierce jumping uppercut to the chin, letting out a fierce kiai while exerting her energy into the extra strike.  "HYAH!!"

Not even getting a chance to question her attacker's motives, Rosie quickly snaps to her Taekwondo fighting stance right when the tigress bolted at her.  Her body had shifted sideways in a near instant with the right side in front, both feet spread an even two-shoulder lengths apart with equal weight distribution between her legs, and her arms and fists up at chest height.  There was hardly any warning from her enemy yet the warrior was already ready to rumble!

Rosie's eyes were locked on Kaharl's movements as her reflexes kick in response, enabling her to lean, duck, and sidestep away from her opponent's punches and slash attacks with appropriate timing.  She feeling her opponent out, specifically through her aura, as the assailant kept trying to hurt her to get a better idea of what she was dealing with.  Though she didn't come into physical contact with Karahl yet, Rosie could feel the flow of strength through her aura, hinting her that she was dealing with an opponent with a lot of physical power.  Honestly, if she wasn't been struck out of hostility, Rosie would be quite admire such strength.  However, since this was a case of self-defense and her opponent wasn't stopping anytime soon, she knew it was time to strike back.

Rosie time herself in a side turn evasion, allowing another punch to whoosh past her body right before throwing a fast backfist to the right cheek in return, keeping up the attack flow with two punches, left and right, to the cheek then face.  The warrior had no idea why Kaharl had it out for her but she definitely wasn't going down without a fight!

When Rosie sensed the surge of electrical energy build-up, she braced herself for whatever move Veira was going to dish out.  What she wasn't expecting, however, was for the wolf to let off a brilliant flash all around them.

"Ahh!" Rosie was caught off guard and force to shield her eyes from the accumulation of light.  She couldn't see!  The warrior knew she had to bounce back quick, otherwise Veira would have her wide open for a retaliation attack.  That's when she remembered...she wasn't completely blinded!  Shortly afterward, she closes her eyes and shuts down her sense of sight for the time being, standing her ground with a calm mind.  She didn't have that long to wait things out as her opponent was already closing in on her.  However, it was just enough time to realize...Veira was right behind her!  '...Found you!'

Now that she was able to pinpoint her opponent's position, the echidna performs a sudden turn at the last minute to swat away the first punch with her left hand, letting out a peppy kiai.  The warrior couldn't rely on her eyes against the flash but a blast of light didn't stop her from detecting her opponents aura!  Rosie pays close attention to her opponent's movements through her aura as she continues to parry the wolf's flurry of attacks with palm and knife hand strikes, literally fighting with her eyes closed.  Eventually, she quickly moves in to grab the inner side of Veira's right arm during one punch while simultaneously thrusting a swift side punch to the chest in an attempt to interrupt her opponent's attack flow.

If successful, Rosie would add onto the pressure with side kick to the stomach then chamber her leg to aim her attack high with roundhouse kick to the left cheek and bring the foot back the other direction with hook kick to the right cheek.  This was one of her favorite moves call the Dizzy Kick: a back-to-back combination of two precise kicks, aimed to slap the face with enough force to potential leave her target dizzy and disoriented.  It was normally used as a set-up to lay on even more kicks and pummel the opponent while their focus dwindled, so it played perfectly with Rosie's fighting style.  If Veira wasn't careful, she just might have to endure another storm of kicks!

The peppy Taekwondo fighter gracefully flips her way back to the ground and lands to her feet, shifting back to her stance as she awaits for her opponent to rise back to her feet.  She felt an exhilarating sense of triumph, getting to land her full combination of kicks dead center, but she wasn't about to drop her guard over a little success.  However, she was also a bit worried about her sparring partner when the wolf didn't get back up for a while, especially after seeing her spit out a trace of blood.  This translated, in her mind, to her opponent taking quite a bit of damage from her kicks.  Rosie wasn't exactly sure if Veira was willing to keep going afterwards but, out of respect for her, Rosie stands her ground and gives the wolf time to recover, not risking patronizing her by asking if she was okay.

The moment right after Rosie though her kick made its mark, Rosie could feel a shift in her opponent's aura around her right after she'd slam the fake copy downwards.  She could feel a stronger source of her opponent's aura above her while a fainter husk was being directed downwards from her counterattack.  That's when she knew...her opponent had used a substitution technique to avoid her kick at the last moment.  Even though this wasn't really a battle against an honorable foe, the kunoichi couldn't but to feel a little bit impressed.  Jinx really seemed to be quite the tactical fighter.  If Rosie had forgotten the atrocities the feline committed against the villagers, she might actually enjoy this fight a little more.

With seemingly nowhere to go to get away from the incoming falling kick and the attack being less than a second away, Rosie was in a very tight spot.  ...However, she didn't even panic.  She was actually smirking, not even a little bit worried!  Jinx would soon see why, for when her foot would connect with the echidna's head, her whole body would detonate into a puff of thick smoke.  A split second afterward, the kunoichi would reappear behind her opponent to quick grab her arms.  Luckily, Jinx wasn't the only one that could act fast in a pinch!  The shift in aura had forewarned the warrior quick enough to pull off a surprise Ninjustu Substitution technique of her own, involving her replacing herself with an illusionary copy at the last moment to take the punishment of the feline's kick while silently warping to a different position near her opponent.  It was the ideal tactic for a sneak attack.

In addition to grabbing her arms, Rosie would also wrap her legs around Jinx's torso and throw herself back, attempting to drag her target into a crafty, spherical spin.  This was her Submission Roll technique, a play on a Judo technique combined with her spindash ability to apply even greater pressure on her opponent and even use the velocity to slam her opponent with powerful force.  She would be aiming to do the later as the spin drop would quickly approach the ground.  However, at the last moment, Rosie would unwrap her legs from Jinx's body but keep hold of her arms as she'd re-position her feet onto the feline's back.  If successful, Rosie would finally give a very hard landing on her stomach as she'd slam the target onto the ground with her submission attack, making sure to leap away from her after impact.

The fun times were rolling all over again as the echidna uses her right hand to deflect each of the jabs with precise palm and knife hand strikes.  Rosie felt that pleasant, invigorating rush of adrenaline again, coursing through her body with a burst of excitement, with the start of the intense clash of power and skill, evident by a clear, widened smirk on her face.  That same cheerful scrapitude was proving quick to shine through again, as if she was never bothered by Veira's transformation at all.

Once the bicycle kick came, Rosie even laughs a bit as crosses her arms to block the first two kicks that came her way.  The force behind the wolf's gravity-defying blows was incredible and the echidna was pushed slightly but she didn't let it go on too long for, on kick number three, Rosie abruptly leans herself back to let her opponent's foot sail right over her.  As she basically limbo'd over her airborne opponent, she quickly throws her legs up to catch Veira with an upwards kick with both feet before she had the opportunity for a follow-up attack.  She would quite literally be kicking her butt, pun fully intended.  Hoping such a retaliation would pack enough force to slam her target into the air, Rosie would then suddenly vanish in a puff of smoke.  Aiming to meet up with her opponent in midair, Rosie would reappear just slightly above the wolf, to her right, and time herself into an forceful aerial left round kick to the her face, spinning and chaining into a rapid-fire series of kicks with her right foot to pummel the torso when it comes into view.  This was one of her favorite moves, the Pummel Kick technique.  As the name suggest, the move would make use of Rosie's fast attack speed to overwhelm and pummel the target with lots of various kicks, constantly changing in aim around the torso to keep the opponent guessing.  As a fighting that loves dishing out the footwork in battle, it wouldn't be that big of surprise that Rosie deeply enjoy being able to use this move in a friendly fight.

"Hyah!!" If everything worked according to plan, Rosie would wrap things up with one more airborne side kick across the right cheek to end the Pummel Kick flurry while letting out an energetic kiai.

13
Not feeling a solid surface against her bare foot, Rosie turns to see that her kick went straight through a hologram.  Now that wasn't the aura she detected earlier!  Though, if anything enlightening came out of this, Rosie was able to get a good look of what she was dealing with when she stood back upright.  Her eyes carefully scan over the image of the tigress, immediately noticing her uniform gave her the presence of a ninja, which definitely confirmed her suspicions from earlier.  With this information, Rosie was able to develop a hunch that her attack must've been able to avoid her attack at the last second and retreat back into cover.  In fact, the warrior could feel the aura of the assailant, still lurking around the area.  At this rate, the situation could prove problematic for both sides.  Rosie knew she couldn't just resume her normal routine with an enemy ninja on her back, thus she wasn't about to drop her guard any time soon.  This meant the previous scenario could go on all day, with both sides avoiding each other's stealth and anti-stealth attacks.  With this in mind, the echidna figured a direct confrontation would draw this standoff to a conclusion, much faster.  It may have been easier said than done, with how cautious the tigress was being, but Rosie was willing to allow the opportunity to present.  She steps away from the hologram and turns her gaze to trees around her, letting her enemy's aura be her guide in where to pay attention to.

"Look, I already know you're out there.  If you really got a problem with me, come down here and let's settle this like warriors!" Rosie speaks out to her ninja adversary, allowing her to make herself known for a one-on-one showdown.  It definitely seemed better than doing what they just did for extended periods of time.

Feeling the snag around her ankle, Rosie's eyes widened a bit from the sudden grab before she was suddenly whirled around the room.  She wasn't all that surprised by the application of shadow energy but the warrior really didn't expect Jinx to use it in such a sneaky manner.  However, the kunoichi knew she couldn't let herself go into full panic and is quick to regain her composure in the midst of the wind-up.  About a second before the dark arm would've released its grip, Rosie took a deep breath allowed her aura energy to surge around her body, forming a pale-blue flare to surround her.  With its power to further reduce the impact of shadow-attribute attacks, Rosie's aura would grant her the means of breaking away from the dark arm with an aerial back-flip and tuck herself into a curl-up spin.  As she sailed towards the wall, the warrior could sense her opponent's shadowy aura travel right underneath her and appear right to the other side of her.  Forewarned of the inevitable follow-up attack, Rosie knew what she had to do.

Right when the roundhouse kick was just about the nail the spherical target, the kunoichi uncurled herself and leaned her upper body back, abruptly grabbing the feline's leg with both hands.  As she does this, Rosie threw her legs forward and attempted to retaliate with downwards bicycle kick, aiming her right foot to slam the top of Jinx's head and knock her straight towards the ground instead. "Hyah!!"

Rosie's eyes widened a bit as her partner was kicked across the cave, leaving her to deal with the enemy herself for the time being.  The warrior had to keep her mind on the fight, though, since she was the next target.  Her attention quickly shifts back onto Jinx, watching as the claw swipe comes near her and then moving in to grab the underside of her opponent's wrist with her right hand.  One swift snag would be all that Rosie needed to nullify the slash right before it could reach her, thanks to her razor-sharp reflexes kicking in.  Of course, she wouldn't just stop there!

While holding Jinx's wrist, Rosie would step to the cat's right side while hurling a fast left elbow strike underneath the captive arm, striking the armpit area just right of the chest.  If successful, the kunoichi would extend the same attacking arm to slam the face with a backfist strike before finally letting go of Jinx's hand to add in a right-hand straight punch to the chest and finally push the target back with a front kick to the stomach, all to be backed up with well-trained precision and speed.  In the midst of her last kick, Rosie would let out a fierce kiai, a shout martial artists use to exert their stored energy throughout their strikes, to amp up the force behind it further for a harder hit.  "Hyah!!"
