Guntram looked at Robin in shock and then smiled. This dog was just the best... way kinder than he had any right to be. To think he'd help him repair the car and praise him for giving them a ride despite seeing what he was carrying was just not what he had expected at all. He was just about to give him another hug in thanks, but with the orbians around them, he limited himself to just a thumbs up and beaming smile. Robin would just have a hug waiting for him later.

That unexpected nicety aside, they were then trapped inside another memory of Caroline's. This time about the little blue hedgehog being in the hospital. It was really depressing to see her lying there in bed, wanting to go outside but locked in place because of her illness. It made him want to help, but he couldn't, no one could. It was a memory, something in the past and he never liked facing the past. Never.

Once the memory ended however, they still had to deal with the orbians and the supers were hard at work trying to execute the plans put forth by Doubles and Caroline. As for what he could contribute... not much so he just holstered his pistol and tried to not get in the way of them.

Guntram nodded and got up to follow the skunk. Although not exclusively because there'd be more food... even if that did play a role. He just wanted to remember this evening for all the right reasons. So he would be there in the bar with the skunk. Even if he knew it would have to end, he'd deal with that when it was over... one way or the other.
On the way to the bar however, he noticed a new arrival, well two. A doe and a stag, although the stag seemed to have gotten stuck with him mouth agape looking at the former. With that in mind, Guntram quickly ran over to him and gently pushed his mouth shut so i didn't look so obvious... or so he didn't swallow a fly, whichever came first. Then e ran back to Ni.

Guntram didn't respond vocally, but he did nod to the skunk. There was indeed a story between why he was silent and he didn't want to go into it. He did have a point though, the place was safe but still.
He then looked at Ni perplexed as he started to speak another language and then he shifted his attention to a new arrival, which Guntram ended up slowly moving away from. He didn't strike the penguin as friendly. That and the creature was rumored to be affiliated with the law so he had every reason to stay clear.

Guntram nodded slowly and patted the sofa as he moved over. Ni was more than welcome to join him. He also nodded in response to the tune. He was free to take whatever. There was more than enough for both of them and Guntram was more then willing to share with them. It was the season to share after all.

Guntram just looked at the food and then to the skunk in awe before he sprang up from the couch and hugged the skunk tight with a big smile. This level of kindness was not what he had expected and he just had to hug it out. It only made him feel bad that he could return the gesture as he sat back down.

Still waiting for the skunk and too anxious and polite to say anything, Guntram remained seated in the couch and looked at the others conversing. In the meantime he ended up sitting with some paper and forming it into little planes that he then threw and watched glide through the air while trying to make sure he didn't strike any of the other attendees. All the while continuing his silent humming christmas songs.

The only time he actually got close to the others was when the buffet was brought in and he came up to take something to eat, only start out by quickly pouring something to drink and raise his glass as a toast to the season before he grabbed some food and began walking back to his couch.

Guntram looked at the skunk and then nodded with a smile as he went to sit down and wait. It was a very nice gesture. Now however, he was at a loss of what to do as he looked to the other guests. It all made him grin even more, to see them be happy and friendly with each other. That was the spirit of the season and just being close to it all rather in his small apartment worked wonders for his own spirit. Even if he didn't feel he could really join in. He wasn't in a condition where he could afford to do that, much less with people he barely knew.

For now he just sat there and waited for the skunk. Maybe then he could figure out what to do with himself. Even as he sat there and began to hum Weissland christmas songs for himself.

Guntram sat and looked out on the snow outside of his little apartment room. He took a deep breath, it was just the same as last year and the year before. He didn't dislike christmas itself, but he disliked how he had to celebrate it because it had to be completely alone.
Looking behind him, he saw the little potted tree had decorated sitting alone on his nightstand. It didn't make it much better, because it was just as lonely as he was this time a year. Reaching into his breast pocket, he pulled out a little picture he always kept on him. It was an old photo of him and his parents back before he was drafted. Around this time it always made him sob to look at it and yet he couldn't help himself. Hopefully they had gotten over him, hopefully they were alright, because he couldn't go back to check on them no matter how much he wanted to. But he would be shot on sight if he tried to come back, such was the price for treason.

However, he had heard of a potential solution, but it was still a risky move for him. One of the clubs in town was hosting a christmas party for the lonely and those with past wounds in need of mending. It sure sounded like something he could attend. But again, there would be no point because if he was to form bonds with others he would just have to cut them again and what would the point be then? Even if that wasn't a factor, he was a wanted man... who was to say someone wouldn't recognize him and call the cops?
But even then, he couldn't deny that he would end up going crazy if he had spend another christmas in solitude. He had to attend and hope it didn't go too far for him.
He quickly grabbed something more presentable than his white jumpsuit with blue strips, in this case a simple tuxedo that wasn't in prime condition but it should be presentable. Besides, a penguin in a tuxedo should at least crack a smile from the other guests. Then he was off.

While the temperature might be low, it wasn't too bad for him as he made his way there. It was just like an average evening back home at Orca Point. So it really didn't faze him as he tried to find his way to Rouge's club. Once in sight of the club he took a deep breath and put a smile on his face. He might not be too optimistic, but he would at least make the others smile while he was there. It made him feel better at the very least. That being said, inside the club his anxiety kicked in again so all he could was awkwardly wave at the other guests as he went to sit in one of the sofas.

Guntram was shocked as he saw Sonic send Robin into a wall during the argument, even if it didn't stop the dog from standing his ground in all this. Thankfully though, it seemed they reached something akin to an understanding and that was when he took his chance to go for the hug and Robin, thankfully, returned it which made the penguin beam with joy and even more so from the compliment.

Despite that, it also made Guntram feel sad on the inside. He wanted to keep it going, but he also knew that some of the others had seen the content of his boxes, the weapons, drug components etc. It would only be a matter of time before he was found out. Then... then he would have to run and sever ties all over again. No matter how many times he did it though... it never got easier. Especially now where he seemed to be appreciated for his work. But if he tried to run from the cartel then he'd be having their boys breathing down his neck to shut his beak tight and then get tossed in a shallow grave. In a toss up there he couldn't choose to abandon the cartel, the consequences would be too severe for him. He had to abandon Robin and the others. It was the only way out for him.
Still, for as long as he could, he would enjoy this feeling. Them he had to make himself scarce.

That was when the two new arrivals showed up and informed them of more Orb-ians coming their way at high speed. It wasn't very comforting after seeing what the last three had been able to do. But before he had a real chance to process it they were already upon them and he quickly reached for his revolver again while backing against the others. He was at a loss this time. The one encircling them was moving too fast for him to get a clear shot so he held his fire and tried to stay calm. At least his vehicle was safe for the time being.

While Guntram was still angry about the damage inflicted on his car, he was still shocked to see how the three shots that connected to the orbian ripped through it. He was also thankful that Robin moved to protect him during the reload process and although he didn't say thanks, he did frantically nodded with a smile.

However, this left Sakura more open and as she struck the orbian it shifted around and threw a blade, which it caught out of the air, at her at a range where dodging was borderline impossible. The keyword being "borderline" as the young wolf still managed to avoid fatal injuries. In response to this, Robin summoned a sword and jumped in to skewer the creature, tearing through the stomach and leaving it to writhe in pain before he turned his attention to the other fight.

Guntram glanced behind him and saw the battle was over for the others. Then Robin started to scold Sonic for something Guntram had missed in the heat of battle so he led it slide and turned his attention to what really mattered to him... the car.
Holstering his pistol, he ran over to his car and opened up the engine bay. He wasn't a professional mechanic or knew a lot about fixing the internals, but he could at least try and diagnose it. Thankfully, it seemed to be reasonably saved due to his last minute maneuvers, however, it would likely need to be looked at by a mechanic if he wanted to keep using it. With that out of the way, he briefly looked to the orbian before going over to Robin and gave him a hug as thanks.

Guntram quickly crawled out after Robin, happy to see that he didn't harm him too much in the crash. Once outside, he quickly drew his revolver and looked at the Robin orb as he quickly removed the casing from the one bullet he had fired and replaced it with a fresh one. He was livid, no one busted his ride and got away with it... apart from himself anyway.

He was briefly distracted by the battle going on between Ty, Soul, a tigeress that appeared out of nowhere and seemed remarkably similar to the one from the vision given a few years, and the other orb that looked like a hedgehog he didn't recognize. Not that it mattered to him, his beef was with the one that tried to stop him from ramming it. It was also for that reason he looked at Sakura with a very defiant stare, no way was he going to take orders from a minor, regardless of powerlevel, while his car was on the line. He was about to shake his head when the orb went on the offensive and threw parts of the road at them, only for Robin to use a shield and protect him and Sakura. He didn't need to be told to act.

He quickly threw himself close to the shield and Robin to not be hit and then took aim against the orb as he tried to push his revolver's barrel through the shield and then unloaded all six rounds at the torso and head of the orbian before them. Then he pulled back to reload the bullets, leaving him exposed if the shield went down. He dared dividing his focus a bit so he could keep an eyes on the orbian while doing the reload with practiced ease, but even then he was ignorant to Sonic's appearance and the others. It was another fight, he had to focus on this one.

Guntram looked up and did a double take as Sakura tore down the wall, what kind of mobian was she?! That wasn't normal, not at all. Although he did recall something about her using superpowers before, so he probably shouldn't be surprised. He then turned to listen as Ty started to reprimand Robin. He, once again, just shrugged at it. The wolf did make a lot of good points. How it wasn't a responsible action, how it could affect the family and so on. Robin also seemed to clearly understand that he had made grave mistakes and promised to make good on them. It was more than he'd ever do. Had Guntram been in Robin's shoes, he'd have fled the scene and gone into hiding until it was over or tried to change identity. There were very few problem in life he hadn't been able to run from and keep ahead off after all.

Once Robin sat down next to him and showed him the map with the red dot and everything, Guntram gave a small salute and prepared to get the car rolling. He also gave Ty a slightly confused nod. Sure, he understood it was cramped, but couldn't he endure for a bit? He'd make it fast. Not that he was going to force it, if he wanted to walk or take the bus, he could go right ahead. He wouldn't stop him. He gave him one last wave and then sped off down the road as fast as he could. Through the whole thing he sported a big smile, he was clearly enjoying it a lot... and he was probably also the only one that did so.
Coming around the last corner, he saw two of the orbs and, rather than slowing down, gave the car even more throttle as he went in for the ram of both of them. He didn't seem to care if he was going to hit them, they weren't real, so what was going to go wrong?

First one was struck without the car slowing down much and he was going right for the next one when it turned to look like Robin. It didn't matter when he had the real one next to him. What did mattered was the ice wall it created to cut him off and cause a crash for all riding with him. He knew his machine well enough to know that his breaks couldn't stop him in time on their own. As a result, this wasn't a case of avoiding damage, this was about minimizing it.
He pushed down on the breaks and pulled the car into a few quick turns left and right to help it lose speed by making the back of the car skid out every so slightly before he corrected it. Then he applied full force to the breaks, making the metal screech. It was rough and he was fully aware that the others were unlikely to take it well, but he had no choice. The last move he made was to throw the car into a left drift and slam into the wall with its right side to spread the damage and, more importantly, save the engine.
The impact threw him against the door and caused several of the crates in the back to fly to the right as well while part of the chassis buckled inwards from the impact. Two crates also tore open and spilled their cargo out into the back, which was some bags of powder, vials of liquids and packs of hypodermic needles. Hopefully those in the back weren't too horribly harmed by it. Guntram then quickly gestured them to get out of the car as he tried to cross over to get out from Robin's side. He was blocked from opening his door after.

Guntram shook the dog's hand and presented him with a leather flight helmet with matching goggles that said "Guntram Messerschmitt" on the name tag as a way to give him his name. He then passed him the map before moving to the back to see if he could make more space for his new passengers. After a bit he quickly crawled in, nodding to Soul as he did, and moved some of the boxes around to form something to sit on and make as much room as possible, even if it wasn't much. The kids would fit in reasonably well, but Ty would have to bend a fair bit to fit. In doing so however, he accidentally opened one of the boxes slightly revealing some chemical compounds inside. Not that he paid it any mind. He was on a tight schedule.

As he jumped out to get the machine started and spun up, he noticed how Robin seemed troubled as the others demanded an explanation for something he had no knowledge of. So he just listened halfheartedly and got into the driver's seat, removed the goggles from his flight helmet and put them on. It was time to go fast, really fast if he had understood what Robin wanted. The others could hear the car's engine power up and then Guntram looked out the window, gesturing them closer. It was time to go.

To pass the time, he started paying attention to the last part of the story. The parts he caught he could at least connect to the vision they had just been shown. It sounded like the young dog really regretted it though, so he didn't hold it against him. He had done what he thought was best and that was really all one could ask for, wasn't it? One last gesture was to point at Robin and then next to him, if he was to navigate for him he needed Robin in the passenger seat. Even if Ty would've been more comfortable there.

Once they gave him the go ahead though, they'd find that he wasn't one for taking it slow or steady. As soon as he pulled out from his holding spot he floored the gas and sped down the road in the direction he was given as fast as he could. Turns and the like were also handled at the highest speed he could get away with. However, despite the ride not being steady and very rough for anyone that wasn't secured in a seat, he kept it stable and didn't make the car roll. But motion sickness and sickness from being tossed around was not something he prevented. He wasn't used to live cargo after all.

His shot found its mark and Guntram was "rewarded" with the sight of the red lady's head getting a hole in it. He ended up having to look away to keep it together. As he looked up again, he saw the others attack and it was truly something to behold. After the barrage the creature just stood there and hissed for a bit. Then there was another scream and Guntram winched as he covered his ears as best he could. It really stung and made his ears ring.

When he finally looked up again to get a grip, he was shocked to see the red lady beginning to turn into an orb as a thick liquid was gushing from the holes they had put into her. It even reached him despite his off positioning from the others. It surrounded his legs and then the edges started to raise up and force him towards the others as it formed a bubble around them all. This was crazy and he wanted to scream but when he was this close to others he just couldn't... he refused to. So he forced it back down and tried to remain indifferent.

After they were encapsulated, the bubble popped and they found themselves in another place than the one they had just been in. It was a living room with others and if it hadn't been for Robin's explanation he'd be at an utter loss for what to do. Even then he did notice how the young dog was bewildered by him and just gave a small smile in response to his nod as the memory played out before them. He didn't really get what it was about though. He didn't have have the backstory after all. He did understand it was something sad though as he saw the young Sapphire and how Caroline was acting, not to mention hearing the others argue about what to do. The little blue one was sick and it was tearing at them all... but that was all he could gather from it. After that everything went black and they were back where they had been before.

After regaining his bearings and hearing what Robin had said, Guntram quickly ran ahead of them and gestured them to follow as he ran to his car and pointed inside it. He also pulled out a map and poked it with his index finger. It was a very crude way of signaling that he'd give them a ride if they showed him where to go... even if there was only two seats and the back was loaded with boxes. It'd be cramped if they took him up on the offer.

Another scream came and Guntram found himself whipping around with his pistol raised to take the shot, only to realize that it wasn't behind him and hadn't come from that direction at all. Damn, the fear was getting to him. Maybe this hadn't been a very good idea after all. But he couldn't turn back now and he could also hear other voices coming from somewhere. He tried to locate them and eventually found a window he could look through.

Peering through, he saw the glowing creature again as she was fighting the group from before. It seemed like she wanted to try and break down the ice wall and that she wasn't the only one that was concerned with how they were boxed in. However, while he had caught some of the chatter between the group, he didn't get a good look at what came out of the red thing's chest after it was pierced or heard the whispers. Not that he'd be able to make sense of it anyway.

After a bit looking through the window he concluded that he shouldn't just stand there and watch. Seeing as they hadn't seen him from where he was, he figured he could probably sneak one shot off to try and help before he was busted. The red one had driven off everyone in the cafe he had been in, so she'd have to be the bad one, right? Well, it was what he thought... and all he had to go on.
He carefully opened the window and leaned out of it as he tried to line up his sights on the red one's head. He pulled back the hammer and steadied his aim. Then he pulled the trigger and gave his position away as the weapon discharged right at the visage of Caroline.
