Mallow nodded absentmindedly at what the other mobian said but then paused when he mentioned robots and then asked where he worked. He had been wanting to make a new friend but... he just wasn't sure he was ready yet. "Um... ice rink. Going to do some skating." He lied. He didn't trust someone he just met that easily. He glanced down the road hoping his bus would get here already.

Mallow had been on guard for most of his life he almost forgotten what it was like having a true friend, he had been hurt a lot and to this day was still hurting. Perhaps... this one time he could try.

"LeLapin. Mallow LeLapin." He said, holding out his hand in greeting

Mallow was in the process of putting on his ear phones when the stranger approached him and asked for his name. The albino raised a brown at this and looked at him, adjusting his glasses and lowering a listening device.

"Uhhhh... I'm sorry, have we met before?" He paused a moment, looking the wolf over and felt his body tense up as he was preparing himself to react quickly should this guy turn out to be an enemy.

Mallow stood at the bus stop, waiting for his ride to the dance studio. He was lucky to have found a new outlet for his desire to dance and teach. Despite everything, as long as he could make time to do what he loved then he felt fulfilled.

5
Mallow's eyes narrowed when the crimson things approached and one swung its scythe at him. He instinctively jumped up, deftly avoiding the razor sharp blade and grunted. “Disgusting filth. Know your place!” he said, swinging a leg in a downward kick on the thing's head. It crumbled and shattered like the boulders he used to practice his kicks on, and the rabbit landed on the slippery floor. That was going to be a problem, he looked at where the thing had crumbled was starting to reform and return to its shape. That's going to be a bigger problem. “Focus Hawkins! These things are just puppets. Don't hold back!” he said, unaware of his partner's current meltdown. He hopped away from two other red enemies and landed near a far wall. “These things are going to keep regenerating as long as there's blood everywhere.” he said out loud. As he was plotting his next attack his eyes caught sight of a familiar red switch the wall opposite of him and it gave him an idea. Leaping into the air again, he used the heads of the golems as stepping stones in order to cross the slippery, sticky floor with better ease and then launched off the last one towards the switch. He fingers found the lever and pulled down. A sharp ringing sounded made him wince and cover his ears for a moment as the sprinklers installed in this building kicked off and water poured down in a heavy deluge that drenched everything.

Mallow could smell the carnage before he stepped through the door. The salty, coppery smell of blood wafted in his nose along with the stench of rotting flesh made dark memories of his past begin to creep up on him. He pushed them down as he kept his hearing tuned in on his surroundings and his eyes forward. Every part of him was telling him not to look up and he listened as he continued down the corridor, ignoring the blood dripping from above. He knew what he would find if he looked, the worst possible scenario imaginable, they were here to save at least over 60 kids and now at the place they were supposed to be kept, he was smelling a multitude of decaying bodies, from the smell of them there were various races, so his mind was putting it together without even looking.

“Whoever is responsible for this, their rotting smell is going to be added to this.” he said out loud.

Mallow placed a hand on Maria's shoulder. "We've got this. Kay? Just keep your head low, ears and eyes open. Follow my lead." He said, unable to give her the desired pep talk but this would have to do. The rabbit moved at a pace that he figured the deer would be able to keep up. Deers were quick, nimble creatures, the woodland creature embodiment of grace, but despite their fragile appearance, their kicks were powerful and their hooves were basically weapons attached to their feet and hands. Unlike rabbits which only had soft paws. Mallow felt that Hawkins would be a decent asset in this situation.

Mallow had such a wonderful time with Mighty. He had gotten to experience the better parts of the amusement park and also got to spend it with a wonderful young man. Mallow hadn't felt this happy in a long time. The ride on the Ferris wheel was particularly his favorite moment, seeing the dazzling lights of the park and city; it felt perhaps rather romantic in a way. Yet, after all the rides and eating of unhealthy food and drink, the time came for Mallow to take his leave. He told the armadillo that he had a really good time and he hoped that they would be able to do something like this again, though perhaps not an amusement park this time. His parting with Mighty was on good terms, for him at least, he did hope to see the other male again soon, as he found himself rather fond of the other's company.

Mallow sat alone in his car, soft synthwave music playing on the radio as he drove back to his flat, with his mind occasionally drifting to thoughts of the red armadillo. The albino smiled slightly, perhaps he could make more of an effort to make some more friends, especially if they were anything like Mighty. He found this thought very agreeable indeed.

Mallow peered into the trampoline room. "Well, this looks fun. Don't they have rooms like this one in places for children that are very hyperactive?" he asked, before jumping down gracefully onto the trampolines. Heh... hehe... ha-hahahahaha! Okay, this was actually really fun. "Don't let that funnel cake fall, Mighty my man!" He exclaimed with excitement, quite unable to contain this strange boost of energy. Perhaps it was his nature as a rabbit/hare hybrid that was having such a blast with all the jumping around. Pretty soon, the albino was leaping off the walls and doing flips in the air, it was like he was reliving his years as a ballet dancer.

Mallow extended his hand to touch the mirrors, he wouldn't want to walk into his own reflection, the images bouncing infinitely off of each other made him a bit dizzy but he could see the appeal. "It's like that theory in that one class at college. The professor talked about how there is a parallel world that mirrors ours and that world has a parallel and so on until you have an endless number of universes each of them just reflections of the prime image." he said, turning left at the fork of the path. "This is really cool. I remember seeing a lot of action movies and this is usually where they have the chase scene." he commented, glad that they weren't getting chased, that would kind of suck.

Mallow took another bite of the funnel cake. "Okay. Let's see if it deserves the title of 'House of Fun'." he said walking with Mighty over to the attraction.

"Come one, come all! Step right up! It's thrilling, it's chilling, it's the hilarious House of Fun!" The man announced drawing in the curious customers of the amusement park. "Two gentlemen here to experience the rib-tickling hilarity that is the House of Fun?"

His voice was a little too loud for Mallow's taste but the rabbit nodded. "Yes two tickets please," he said, hand extended for the slips of paper, making sure that the infernal stamp was showing.

"Alright, here you are. Enjoy." The announcer waved them through and resumed enticing the passing people to enter. His voice was eventually muffled by the heavy doors that closed behind the rabbit and the armadillo. Mallow blinked a few times. "I can barely see a thing in front of me, not that's much different from when I don't have my glasses on." his tone took on a very serious nature. "Mighty, what ever you do. Don't drop the funnel cake." he said, then smiled in the darkness.

Mallow thought for a moment. Funnel cake? Hmm. "Sounds fabulous. I'd love some." He said, picking up his drink from where he left it and walked with Mighty to the funnel cake stand. "Alright, Acrophobia is done, you pick the next ride." Really the options were endless. There were the roller coasters, the Ferris wheel, there was a haunted house or fun house (whichever it was), and was that the Love Boat in the distance? 'Huh. Weird.' Mallow thought to himself as he turned his attention back to the funnel cakes.

The ride continued its ascent and decent for another round totaling in 3 goes before finally lowering its passengers gently back to the ground and coming to a stop. Mallow took a deep breath. "Wow... that was fun." He then realized that he was holding Mighty's hand and he let go. "Ah! Sorry. Didn't mean to grab you there." He said, unbuckling and hopping down, feeling his legs wobble a bit before he steadied himself. "You okay?" He asked, offering a hand to help the armadillo down. The rabbit's face was flushed but he was grinning like a loon. That ride had actually been fun.

Mallow smiled almost a little sadistically when his comment made Mighty a little scared, then he inwardly chastised himself and gave the armadillo a pat on the shoulder. "Well I think-" Suddenly there was a hiss and all the seats lowered down the ground then with a WOOSH the passengers shot up 200 feet into the air. The rabbit felt his breath catch in his throat at the rush, his adrenaline pumping and his stomach and ears went up when his hindquarters were no longer touching his seat as the ride stopped at the top, only the safety harness was the only thing keeping him inside the seat as the ride began its rapid descent toward the ground.

Without realizing his hand had latched onto Mighty's and was squeezing it as they were falling and didn't let go even as the ride slowed at the bottom before launching the howling riders into the air again. Mallow might or might not have joined the screaming a few times although upon listening it was more of an cheer of excitement.

Mallow nodded to Mighty's opinion of how this ride wouldn't be scary and added his own comment. "True, true. However, usually, those that think they would be comfortable with this ride because they are used to working in high places and whatnot forgets one important thing." His eyes locked with Mighty's. "You're not in control while you're falling. You're being strapped to a seat with harnesses and bars and are unable to get off as your body is being forced to ascend to a great height and then forced to fall without any means of slowing yourself down on your own power. You're completely at the mercy of the machine that is controlling you." He gave a bit of a creepy smile as he sat his drink down at the cubby holes and got into his seat, clicking the safety harness into place snuggly so he wouldn't fly out and possibly fall to his death. "Gives the experience a whole new thrill doesn't it?" he mused then patted the seat next to him as an invitation to Mighty's posterior.
