The moment he saw the pink hedgehog tear up, Sonic had an overwhelming urge to pull her into an embrace, he wanted to tell her it was going to be okay, that he wasn't going anywhere and he was here if she or Shadow needed anything. He held out an arm ready to reach out towards the friend that had been nothing but supportive and caring the entire time he'd known her; she was there when it happened and he wanted to tell her he needed help. He reached out to take Amy's hand and was halted when Soul created a ring of fire stopping the speedster in his tracks; looking into the flames his eyes followed the embers dancing on the air. "Snap out of it Sonic, she's the enemy. They aren't your friends anymore they are merely speed bumps in her plan."

He looked overhead watching when Sonya released her energy field and dumped a load of water onto him. At first he was annoyed but then his mood brightened when he realized Sonya had put out the flames holding him in place. While still a sopping mess he shook his head, his eyes looking towards the doctor. "See this is why I was Team Leader, rookie mistake not coordinating your attacks there." With a smirk he shook off as much water as he could before locking eyes with Shadow. "I'll assume you're in charge now I'm playing for the winning team? I'll only say this once, take your friends and go home. I don't want to hurt you...okay that's a lie maybe I want to hurt you specifically, a little but the others don't need to end up in hospital because you were too pigheaded to back down."   

The pod had done it's job, Sonic's eyes snapped open; he looked around as his body floated in the rejuvenating liquids, bubbles rising to the top as he breathed easy through the mask attached to his face. Impatient as always Sonic struggled and fought his way out of the tank, the glass cracked as the container fell against the ground; shattering his way to freedom the hedgehog took a moment to get his bearings. Looking to his wrist his communicator was gone, he frowned somewhat and tossed up his arms. "Well that makes my job a little harder." He paused tapping his foot looking around the medical facility he was currently being held in.

The room was a combination of white and gunmetal grey, it was sterile and far too lifeless for Sonic's tastes. "This rooms giving me major creeps. What kind of person needs decor this depressing? Amy could really liven this place up with that eye of hers." He walked forward and out into the main wing of the facility. He stumbled upon a towering titan in armor that resembled his old foe; instantly he revved up his feet into a red and white blur, ready to attack however Sonic stopped after taking a second look. "That's not Robotnik."    He thought to himself giving pause. It was true that this newcomer looked like Robotnik but Sonic knew the mad inverter well enough to see the subtle differences. Dropping his hostility he walked closer and raised an eyebrow. "Yannno, you look like somebody I used to know. Dude is ancient history now so forget I said anything."

While staring into those ominous black voids the creature called eyes Sonic spoke. "So you must be the one that fixed me up. Thanks for the assist. I'm....." He cut himself off spotting the familiar faces on the monitor. He narrowed his gaze into an annoyed glare and punched his fist into an open palm. "We can do introductions later. Those pests on the screens, are they in the surrounding area? Cause I can help you get rid of them, if you like. Hell just point me to the exit, wind me up and watch me go." The hedgehog said with confidence.

(Open to anybody but please note your character wouldn't have witnessed the massacre they'd just be stumbling across an empty village with a lone woman.)

Life was peaceful for the small settlement at the foot of the mountains. The day they were blessed with had blue skies and the laughter of children echoing throughout the settlement. The smell of charred meat called the hungry to market stalls, while the fishermen's wives wove nets to help improve on the shortage of seafood.

It was a day like any other until a crimson-haired stranger wearing a purple kimono, with high heeled pumps that hid her face behind a veil blew into town. She had walked the long and lonesome road that leads into the small hamlet, before arriving at the primitive village. As the blue scaled stranger strode into their dwelling she drew looks of jealous ire from the local women as the men couldn't tear their gaze away from her feminine form. Her head held high with pride she made her way over to the food stall that was cooking lamb.

It appears the vendor was quite smitten with the modestly dressed vixen and offered her all she could eat. "Mam you must he tried from the long journey out here. You come out here all alone? Can't imagine it'd be safe for a cute little thing like you to be wandering these parts alone. Still, you look hungry please take all you can eat."

The red-haired woman placed her gloved fingers beneath her veil and gave a girlish giggle. "My my, such generosity. I'm famished. I'll believe I'll take you up on your offer." She replied as the vendor turned his back to prepare her a plate. The backside of the woman's attire started to rustle while something slipped from beneath her dress; suddenly a quadruple headed serpent erupted from the woman's backside, it had fierce fangs and piercing red eyes. The patrons that witnessed the woman's wild tails started to flee while others were frozen in fear. The vendor turned around with the prepared plate and dropped the food when he saw the foul serpents flicking their tongues, while the beautiful woman elegantly ran her fingers under their chins.

Before he could react, the centre head struck forth like a crack of lightning; dislocating its bottom jaw it swallowed the generous gentleman whole. His fat figure slid down the Snake's throat before while thinning out the deeper it got; his body rapidly broke down during the process until the liquid mince made it's back to the serpent's host. The monstrous stranger smiled behind her gold and purple veil before her snaked tails struck at the rest of the patrons in the eatery devouring them just as quickly. She cast out her hands in excitement revealing even more monstrous tails, each one bore the head of a different breed of snake. "You did say all you could eat. Go forth, my children!" She declared haughtily while she walked into the town square and continued her massacre. Her hunger fueled rampage continued long into the night; the children's laughter replaced with soul-shattering screams and the venom melted remains of the dead. Come morning there was not a single survivor and the wicked woman looked very pleased with herself. She clapped her hands and the numerous snake-headed tails retracted into her traditional dress.

Licking her lips she adjusted her glasses and proceeded to pick her teeth clean with the finger bone she'd snapped of a child she'd devoured only moments ago. The screams gave way to an eerie silence she seemed to enjoy, letting her stomach settle. To any bypassers, it would look like this delicate flower was the sole survivor of a bandit attack. Now she had fed her violent tendencies were sated and she proceeded to poke around the empty homes and shops for some kind of map.

"There's got to be some type of map or GPS in this backwards little burg." She thought to herself while rifling through the belongings of the recently deceased.

There was a dim light at the end of the hallway created by the sparks of steel and spines clashing. Sonic whirred around like a deadly blue buzzsaw, attempting to sever the connection between Robotnik and his great machine. Nestled within the powerful titan was the seven chaos emeralds powering the suit's functions. Sonic was trying his best to keep up but even his power was trivial when compared to the source of all chaos energy. It was all he could do to evade Robotnik's attacks to avoid massive damage. Soon the evil Doctor smiled as he slammed a button with his iron fist, turbines whirred to life and a glorious golden beam erupted to the chaos reactor heading straight for Sonic.

The beam vaporized all that got in its way, completely decimating the machinery it came in contact with; Sonic quick as ever avoided the beam skidding to a stop.

"That's some serious firepower you've got there, Robuttnik. Too bad it takes forever to fire that toaster up." Sonic mocked before flipping the overweight tyrant the bird.

When Amy entered the room Snivley walked up behind the pink hedgehog and hit a button located on the floor; suddenly a glass tube slammed down over the pink powerhouse. An all to familiar machine whirred to life at the top of the tube while it began to scan Amy top to bottom. "Begining Robotization in 10,9,8......" The artificial voice confirmed as it began the countdown.

"Amy!" Sonic belted out as he tried to rush to her aide.

"Not so fast hedgehog. I'll let your little friend out when you stand still. If you move from that spot we'll, skip the countdown and she'll be lost forever. However if you stay put, you have my word she'll keep her skin." Sonic snarled while Snively chuckled out to add further insult.

"I've developed a special robotcizer that cannot be reversed, not even by that two tailed mutant that's always following you around."

Sonic gave pause and stood still without a second thought.

He looked to Amy and gave her a thumbs up along with a cocky smile. "Tell Shadow, I said he's still an asshole." He closing his eyes while Robotnik slammed the button again and drew power from the mysical gems once more. The golden beam roared to life and fired, tottaly engulfing Sonic. The blue hedgehog was torn apart in a brillant bream of gold and white; when the beam faded he was gone and the tube around Amy vanished. The two men smiled and started to laugh mechanically at their long time foes demise.

"Ohhhhhhh that felt good.....very good indeed. I just feel warm all over. With Sonic gone, Mobius is mine."

"Don't you mean ours? Dr. Robotnik" Said snivley hoping his part in Sonic's demise would be noted.

"NO I MEAN MINE! You pathetic little whelp."

His massive machine turned and his crimsion orbs glared at Amy.

"Ahh yes the female hedgehog. As promised, I'll let you live. Spread the word, Sonic the hedgehog....is no more."

A powerful gust of wind knocked Amy from her place and ejected her throught the ventlation system before spewing her out into the open air hitting the streets below. Robotnik's face was plastered over every monitor laughing at Amy's failure.

When Blaze unleashed her fury the heatwave exploded outwards destroying the walls of the vortex, that trapped the cat. With the tornado dispelled fire erupted into the heavens painting the sky crimson while the winds faded from existence. The force off the blast sent Sonic flying off his feet causing him to come to a tumbling stop; face down in the dirt he felt the rocks super heating and pushed himself to his feet while the solid matter became molten magma. Stumbling back to his feet trying to avoid a serious case of hotfoot; Sonic dashed forward trying to escape the towering inferno that bore the power of a dying star. Blinded by the brilliance of the cosmic rays the hedgehog shielded his eyes while trying to channel the energy he needed to make his escape.

Thunder crashed in the heavens above striking the crimson sky, while wild electrical patterns danced around Sonic's body; channelling the energy into his feet he got ready to make a break for it until he felt a scorching pain engulf his back. Pain would be an understatement for the sensation Sonic was feeling against his bareback, the only term that seemed fitting now was annihilation. The wall of pure energy expanded entirely engulfing the champion of Mobius. When the explosion subsided and only the ground that had been terraformed into a reflective wasteland remained along with some stray static that faded from sight.

Sonic The Hedgehog was no more.
